Nico Casal

Nico Casal is a multi-award winning film composer and performer whose credits include the score for 2016 Oscar winning short film “Stutterer”. Nico started to compose music for short films in 2004 in his home town of Santiago, Spain. Five years later, when he finished his Piano Performance Degree at Vigo University he decided to focus on film music moving to London.  Fast forward a few years and Nico has composed several short films, documentaries and five full length features - including "Sunday's Illness (La Enfermedad del Domingo)", directed by Ramón Salazar and produced by Zeta Cinema. Nico is also an experienced composer for advertising nominated for “Best Original Composition” at the 2015 Music & Sound awards for HSBC’s global campaign “Pink Ladies”.

Nico released his debut album Alone on 5th April 2019 via PIAS / Point of Departure.
